One Item for BM a Day (2010-2012)
-Quit my job Wednesday (this isn't something I did for Bm, but it will affect my trip. Hope to find a new job soon. So I might be holding off a few things for a few weeks until I get caught back up.)
But you know that they say. One door closes, another opens. I believe this. The day after I walked out of my cushy 3 year corporate job, I received this in the mail:

I love boobies. Everyone loves boobies!
Today I bought 12 yards of orange trim ... tiny tassels with beads, non-moopy, on clearance. Had to buy the bolt. I have no idea what I'll do with 12 yards of orange tassels, but surely it will involve the box of hundreds of orange pom-poms in the sewing room.

Hope to finish my goggles and work on the garage some more...
Maybe take out the lawn chairs and hose em off...
Anyone have any ideas of something fun/creative I could do today at home?
I bought a Costco carport for half off today! And a dog bed that will make a fantastic chilldome floor pillow. Woot! (except I bought both on credit... hmm. but it was on saaaaaaale...)

A)Paint your nails so they are nice and even.
B)Buy a sunlamp at Walmart and work on getting rid of those tan lines.
C)Put your ticket in a secure place so it doesn't get lost. Make a note of that place so you don't go crazy in August looking for it.
D)Read the First Timer's and Survival guides again.
E)Get your resume updated and in order.
F)Check around on-line to see about available jobs in your area.
Bought a handful of battery powered glow sticks today at Target for about $5 each. Choice of red, blue or green. Four modes: LED flashlight, flaslight and glow stick, just glow stick, and flashing glow stick.
They look just just like a bright regular glow stick when turned on. Operate on 3 watch battery sized batteries (note inside on where to get free replacement batteries also!) and the package says they run for 200 hours on the batteries. They also come with an attachable lanyard to hang it from something.
Another cool thing is that the unit that houses the LEDs is removable and a little bigger lenghtwise than a quarter. It would be real easy to attach it to something for illumination that takes up next to no room.
For the price, I might go back and get more. Very reasonably priced illumination solution. Much cheaper in the long run than disposable glow sticks too. Video below shows them in action,

It's pointless to walk when it's past time to run.
LOL Shambala. Thank you. I do not take offense. I love honesty, and critiquing. It wasn't the girl in school who told you you looked horrible in that pink dress your mom put you in for picture day, that wasn't your friend... It was the girls telling you to pose with a thumbs up that were your enemies--the ones that snickered to the other girls behind your back...Shambala wrote:Victorian wrote:Anyone have any ideas of something fun/creative I could do today at home?

So.. Lemme take a look at this checklist...
-Have all summer here at the lake for the tan lines. They are a priority. Promise.... (one bad camping trip, sheesh)
-Won't paint my nails perfectly while I'm crafting in the garage, they'll just chip again.. but the polish keeps me from biting them...
-Ticket is safe and secure, actually in a picture frame in my spare room, next to a flag I picked up at Ace hardware, that has two little cute lizards "welcoming friends" to our camp
-I DO need to go read the guides again, and I will do so, thanks!! I needed the reminder!!!
-I'm working on the job thing next week. I know I'm only 22, but this is the first time in 7 years I have had more then a week off. I can afford it with my paycheck having all my awesome vacation time paid out I never used.
-Debating going back to hair school...
-RJ is coming to visit this weekend, we're working on the bike!!!
I'm thinking.. neon yellow and hot pink--lemonade style!!
Those.. are very awesome. I'll have to keep an eye out.lambert13 wrote:Bought a handful of battery powered glow sticks today at Target for about $5 each. Choice of red, blue or green. Four modes: LED flashlight, flaslight and glow stick, just glow stick, and flashing glow stick.

They look good siliconed to the inside frame of your car window, and of course on clothes and bikes and such. Tassles, fringe, and pompoms are surprisingly durable over the long haul. They keep their color pretty well even in full UV for months/years. I've never Scotchguarded the fringe or pompoms on my van and some of it has been installed (and ungaraged) for more than 8 years in full California sun.AntiM wrote:I love boobies. You don't have to be skinny, naked and under 30 to be a Hottie!

No offense was intended. I was just using the the limited hints in your image and post to offer some "fun/creative suggestions" to your request for ideas. Please don't even consider it critiquing, just creative writing.Victorian wrote:LOL Shambala. Thank you. I do not take offense. For the record, your nails look fine as do your tan lines. Don't change a thing!
Best of luck finding a job, but again, you don't need to explain to me, just take things with the smile I intended.
-My Goggles I received from Tom Servo are almost complete.
-Got some really cool like.. "dish-washing"? gloves, I found at walmart. Black rubber latex stuff, with a 4" large cuff on them that's zebra print.. Total trash picker upper gloves.. Perfect for when I'm out moop hunting.
-Cleaned out a big plastic storage bin to start putting camp gear in..
-Found 3 touch lights that are LED, you can stick em anywhere; under our bathroom sink (thanks for bringing those when you moved in hunny)
