Fruit Coctail Car

Post by Seedless » Mon Mar 08, 2010 1:23 pm

Last year was my first burn. I decided to buy three fruit costumes for my friends an I. This year all I want to do is play downtempo music and low key instrumental music (including jazz and classical) at burning man. I have a broken down chevy S10 pickup truck which can easily be converted as my father is a crackerjack mechanic. I would love to begin to construct a giant playa moving fruit coctail bowl (essentially just an upside down dome on a truck) in order to serve fresh fruit and fruit coctail smoothies. I would love to get some help in order to realize my dream. Ultimately I would love to put the bowl on a larger chassis so I can hold more people and I do have my eye on a very very old silver school bus for this however I cannot afford to purchase it. Last year was my first burn and I found it deeply transformative. I would love to continue my fathers artistic, metalworking tradition within the burning man community! Thanks so much to you all!
in peace and love,

Thank you for the spelling correction.

Sometimes a lonly watermelon forgets the K in coctail. So I humbly apologize. As for the crackerjack boxtruck I was thinkin something a little more domelike. I will certainly apply for the food stuff and apply for the mutant car. If you would like I can post some of my businesses artistic creations. They range from 20 foot geodesic spikey spheres to rocks floating on green metal that sway in the wind to giant functional but portable bread ovens. We have a 15,000sq foot warehouse packed with antique metal forming machinery and the ability to make litterally any shape that the mind can dream up! Hope you all are as excited as I am.

Do a system restore to sometime before you got hacked, and your problems will prolly go away.

Nah its not the hack that bothers me what bothers me is that they're spending money on some accounts. I'm at the bottom of it though no worries. I was more concerned about the mutant car application deadline than anything else to be honest. Once I found that was in june I chilled out a bit. In any case I'll be working on some sketches for an art car and hopefully all will be well before long!

You may have a headstart over the average nutcase.
Fruit is definitely something that goes over well out there.

Yeah, I'm hungry for a mango strawberry banana smoothie. He's gonna' have to carry a lot of fruit. Great idea, want to see him somewhere out on the open playa.

Oh, and the fruit truck idea is a good one. Do your research and jump through the hoops and start working on it. It's wont be easy, but it's very much doable. During the process, just try to keep it fun instead of frustrating and it'll be worth it.
