Theme Songs or other songs that make you think of BM

Post by teardropper » Sat Mar 06, 2010 8:44 am

Is there some music, besides techno, or maybe a song that always makes you think of BM? Or a song stuck in your head that has you thinking of playa?

Mine is "Burn It Down", by Bo Ramsey. He is from Iowa City, plays with folks like Greg Brown and produced Lucinda Williams first album. Americana. When I was looking for songs to go with a video of pics, this was my lead off song. Have a listen...

That's not even a song.

I got quite a few people singing this song while waiting for the man to burn in 08. Now every time I hear it that is all I think of.

I don't know if Jim Morrison was a burner or not, but I'm sure Joan of Arc was.

Two songs currentily: "M83- Skin of the Night" & "Florence & The Machine- Cosmic Love". Both are really pretty sounding, etheral songs that take you aback...d a y d r e a m i n' :)

4 years ago while waiting in line to enter BRC, I heard this playing on the BM radio station. It was the perfect song to get me in the mood for the week. I recall sitting in the car singing along with Louis!

As I drive down 447 on the way to BRC, I found myself singing Three Dog Night's Shambala. The lyrics seemed perfect for where I was heading and I grabbed the name for my postings here.

Hazy on the year '03/'04 maybe. I was invited to a wedding and this song was the wedding march. Asked to dress like a cat to attend, didn't know the groom or bride from Adam (may in my camp did), one of the best wedding receptions ever.

"I pity the fool who didn't atten' dis wedding.."
