Burners in Tennessee?

I may be moving from CA to knoxville, TN soon... is there a burner community there? Anybody here from knoxville who can give me an insight into what it's like living there?

It's the best place in the entire country to live--especially if you can get to NYC a couple times a year. Sun, sand, skiing, movie stars, great food, and burners. Plus it's not that far from San Francisco either. I love it. Been here for about 20 years now and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

LMFAO Sorry, I read that completely backwards. Like you were moving TO CA. I guess it was late when I replied--or maybe my mind just couldn't wrap itself around anyone moving AWAY from CA to TN.

I live in Knoxville. I'm working on stirring up the burner community here. I have found a couple of people. I'm also one of the board members for Alchemy, which is the GA regional burn. It happens about an hour and a half south of Knoxville. Atlanta has a HUGE burner community.

Oh, that's good to know that there is a large community nearby. I guess Im moving to knoxville in December -- I suppose it's going to be a rough move in the cold :(

There was a regional in Missouri, I think, and there is Atlanta, Texas and North Carolina.

Myself and a couple of friends are going to BM this year. None of us have ever been but we definately want to make it this year. It would be great if a bunch of us could organize a Knoxville/East TN group and start planning now!!!

There's burners in every state in the SE, active in our local regional scene (Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Florida all have annual burns).

I know burners in Chattavegas, Knoxville and Nashville - probably more places, but where we live doesn't always come up during burns.
