im 56 year old cactus mover from apache junction, az. this will be my first year and i think ive read the entire forum. so i dont think i have any dumb questions exept how to post pics...lol thank for all the wisdom and snark.

Hello Race Fans:
The 6th annual Death Race is quickly approaching.

This is an annual outlaw desert event where riders will see their bikes disintegrate beneath them as they approach speeds of 50 mph.

To avoid the heat from coming down us, we have rented a race track for the day. Anyone and everyone is invited to participate.

Death Race is open to all gas and electric motorized bicycles. Pedals and a motor, you're in.

Safety equipment, i.e. helmets, boots, knee and elbow pads, are highly recommended as well as mandatory.

Death Race 2010 will be held at P1 Circuit Race Track at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson, AZ on Sunday April 18th, 2010.

I can't even find that image, so hard to know why.
Some images are blocked.

Click on image and click on copy image location.
Paste that here and highlight, then click image, as you have done.
Check in preview.
Some just don't work.

your photos need to be "hosted" somewhere, like photobucket or something.
then, you link to them using the "img" buttons.

you can't directly link to your computer, or, upload them for there

so above the page your typing on:

click the "img" button
paste the location (in the address bar)
click "img" again.

make sure the "img" is in order:

[img]location[/img]

open the photo you want,
highlight the entire address, in the address bar,
press control "C",

open a reply window here,
put the cursor in it, so you know it's blinking,
and, press control "V".

that will put the address here, copied directly
then, we can try making it work.

just a thought.............

It seems to me, it's not letting you remote link, for some reason.
Perhaps there are sharing rules you've set or something?

when you typed it in, you put an extra space in the last img thing,
I'll show you:

correct (like hitting the button above):

what you did:

[img] [/i mg]

note the space between the i and m

also, usually, the address ends with JPG, GIF, something like that. not a slash or other stuff.

you'll get it, just keep tryin'.

No worries, Figjam -- we all go thru this learning process.

You should never need to type in an address. As Ygmir mentioned, you should be able to copy an address and paste it in where you need it.

Do you know what "highlighting" something on the screen means? It means you click on something -- or even drag the mouse over it with the left button held down -- and that area turns blue. (Could be an other color -- you'll see it.)

Once an address (or a section of text) is highlighted (or "selected"), you can copy it by either clicking on the copy icon at the top, or by typing Ctrl C. Now that address is sitting on the computer's "clip board", ready for you to "paste" it in somewhere else with either the clip board icon, or Ctrl V.

Let's make sure you have that down.

Edit: Oh... And when you highlight something, you need to make sure you get just what you need in blue, no more and no less. That can take a few tries. Just click anywhere on the screen to cancel the highlighting and try again.
