Getting dreadlocks at the man?
I am quite interested in getting my dreads put in on the playa and i feel like i heard about a group last year were this was going on, maybe i was just hallucinating, but regardless if any one has any information about it i would love to find out more.
And if i was just making it all up..... Anyone want to dread my hair on playa?!?
I assure you i will make it well worth it.

Doesn't the process involve turning loose a small family of nesting rodents? I'm not sure that's such a good idea on the Playa.

I didn't think you "put in" dreadlocks. I thought they developed naturally by only rinsing your hair and then never combing it.
I think I read that for the natives living on the islands where the style originated, the look is enhanced by only rinsing the hair in the ocean and then letting it dry naturally.
IMHO I think it's non-hygienic and disgusting.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

IMHO You sure don't know much about dreadlocks.
Presumably, the OP has the fake kind he wants sewn or braided in - there's many varieties of fake dreads, and ways to stick them on.
You can also easily dread your hair. I've both dreaded hair (my own and others) and combed some out.
It can be unhygienic, as can anyone's hair if they don't care for it.

By 'put in' i mean back combing, its a process used to knot the hair and create dread locks, and no they arnt disgusting by nature thats a common belief but very wrong, its all about how you take care of them. Sure they can get nappy as fuck but you can keep them clean you just have to use the right shampoo.
And i am talking about actually dreading my hair not having fake ones put in
:D

I'll make him a cape.
Dreads are not easy to get out, but it is possible to comb them out. Also depends on what kind of hair you have.

About 40 years ago I went to apply for a job, and was told "We don't hire long-hairs." When I see someone with dreadlocks today, I have the same reaction -- "You look like a bum, so there is a higher than average risk that you are a bum".
This is unfair to any upstanding citizen who happens to prefer an odd hairstyle (which is his own business), but it is a valid method for screening potensial employees and friends (which is my business).
Just thought I'd let you know.
