Hola a Todas y Todos

To all of you's here on eplaya, i'm super bloody excited to find this off-season burning community... i've read a couple hundred posts in the last couple days since I joined, and basically, i love it.

Apparently there's some guy named Doug who's logged more hours on here than the average cocker spaniel gets to live in it's whole life... and then there's "Aunty Em" who seems to be the kind, matronly dispenser of sage advice for the whole board, and "YMGIR" , plus a bazillion other interesting characters. I've learned terms like snark sharks, and watched them circle as i read down the comment histories...

fun shit.

This year'll be my third burn. In '99 a friend invited me to come for what would've been my virgin year... i turned it down to spend the winter in S. America. every winter after that was a similar story until '08 - and i haven't been travelling anywhere in three years. Damn you all.

This year 8 or so noobs are coming down from Vancouver with me and three vets. With 5ish months still to go I've already made a bunch of drawings plus a scale model of the scaffold/parachute/bamboo valhalla that will be our base... and I'm working on the plan to have a few hundred espresso martinis for whomever of you end up dropping in on our camp.

so to everyone here, even the snark sharks:
you make waiting for August 30th way funner.

con amor y respecto,
Nadamal

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
