new couple from socal

Post by wiseguy » Sun Apr 04, 2010 11:25 am

Hi guys,

I'm Robert (wife is Christy) - we're from Southern California. I just snuck over the 40 mark (Christy is half a decade younger)... Married for 14 years with kids.

Our interests are diverse, from jeeping to baseball to drinking beer on the Baja coast.. We both have ink and she has a few piercings. She has never let others define who she should be .... from her colorful hair to her love of life that shows in her smile... A party often spontaneously erupts when she's around... I enjoy family and life... I enjoy new experiences... I've traveled a lot... I've been in combat... I've been to college... I've dug ditches .... I've worn a suit and tie...
We are not rich, we are not poor... we love our kids...

Still reading???

2010 will be our virgin trip to burning man. We have read and reread the survival guides. We will continue to read and prepare for the trip. We are very self sufficient. We are never shy to jump in and volunteer when we see a need. We once tended bar at a fundraising event simply because we were walking by, saw the need and had the time… We have camped in the desert (blm land) many times in our small vintage trailer (a quirky red & white little aristocrat)... We look forward to learning from the experience while also helping others where we can.

We don't and can't know yet what we will get or give at burning man... If we come away with fun memories and a few new friends - we’ll count it as a success.

Robert and Christy

We're family, guys. You'll fit right in. Welcome!
Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.

Welcome wiseguy - perfect intro post by the way.

The only comment I have is dont bring your beloved trailer unless.
A. Your awesome at detailing and can get into every little nook and cranny, because the dust will.

B. You dont care.

seriously though have a blast sounds like you are already on top of it.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
