Hungry Burning Man Travelers!!!!
Hello fellow participants of Burning Man! For those of you traveling through or near Salt Lake City I just wanted to let you know about a very chill little place called the One World Cafe that embraces the same ideology as the Man. It is a fully organic cafe that creates their food (vegan, vegetarian and meat) fresh everyday from scratch. Their staples range from green and fruit salad, to quiches, to soups but there are a variety of different side and main dishes to please anyones palate. It is hard to list all of them because their menu changes everyday depending on what is fresh and available. The cafe allows you to have a direct relationship with your food because you have to tell them exactly how much you want of which dishes so that there isn't any food wasted. Then at the end of your meal (and dessert) it is asked that you put a fair price on the plate of food you have just eaten...there is no cash register, just a little treasure box by the water cooler that you put your money in anonymously. If you feel you cannot do that providing volunteer work for the cafe is also available as a means of payment. Take the 600 South exit off of I-80 to 300 East, take a left onto 300 East and continue until you see the OPEN sign with a handpainted picture of the world on it. The address is 41 South (not 4100 South)and 300 East...right by the Utah College of Massage Therapy. So if your belly needs one last bit of home cookin before hitting the playa stop by for a bite of food and a refuel of good, strong energy.
enjoy, enjoy, enjoy
SLC food
That sounds like an awesome place for sure, but since we're talking about food and Salt Lake City... I must suggest The Red Iguana... Oh my god the best mexican food ever. I don't remember where it is but pick up a phone book and get there. Seriously... stop, and thank me later
