Beer please...

How's everybody? just back from a NASCSR Interview with Mario Andretti, for a Documentary on Richard Petty , for the Speed Network. It was in Monterey, Ca. We stayed in a turn of the century style hotel, with the biggest bathtub in a hotel I have ever seen, it was the size of a friggen hottub. Mario is such a Mensch, what a great guy, what an honor to have met, and talked to him.

It's a sport because you risk your life and there is no ball involved.
Not my cup of tea, but the cars are now heavy, but highly sophisticated sports cars thinly disguised as sedans.
The performance levels are actually very high, even if it's dull to watch.
I prefer WRC.

As for athletic, spend a couple of hours with your heart rate at 200, and then let me know how fit the drivers are.

Good, thanks. One of my friends asked me to bring it up for their wedding later this month. Lots of Burners in attendance who haven't been in awhile, so it will be new to them. I'd rather have it set up somewhere than sitting in storage anyway

It won't be coming to the playa this year.

Marvelous Monday to all. I turn 59 on the 12th. Only 3 years till SSI security. Got my veggie pots going. 75 degrees right now in my neck 'o the woods. Got my schedule request into Xander and my ticket request into Witchy. Hope to see ya in the dust in 4 months. Are we counting weekends yet?

The local library here got a good spring cleaning and reorganization. There were many books given away. If a book was not checked out in 3 years it was shipped to the main library in Yuba City or discarded here in Liveoak. There are a couple boxes of old sheet music I'm going to grab today. Somebody might want it.

So here is a tall lemonade with ice to all. Time for me to walk home , watch the Bonnie Hunt Show on the tele and eat my Chef Boyardi spagetti and meatball soup.

The bar dog at Chili's poured me a glass of Widmer wheat beer. It looked opaque with a sort of caramel hue. He said that he had just changed the keg, and it probably got agitated in the process.
The manager said it was unfiltered. So the barkeep comped it.
I guess I got a dose of B12-rich yeast sediment for free!

No hangover by the way.

Indeed... this one involved some sort of unique flying contraption something like a kite appearing over the playa. I and my friends were actually camped outside the main site in some sort of scrubby dune area. I remember someone coming up and telling me how much they loved our camp last year and had spent a couple of hours there, and I leapt up stating that we would be back again next year, yet all of my friends around me just looked at me like I was crazy. Which of course I am. Is it too early to start recruiting new friends for 2011 to help execute the Destiny Lounge vision??? Sigh.
