It's About Time...

Post by Smooches » Sun Apr 18, 2010 9:50 pm

After my first trip Home in 2000, this is the first time I've been on e-playa. I've been on Tribe.net for a number of years and a friend of mine suggested a fabulous theme camp and the way to connect with them is through e-playa.

And! I bought a golf cart earlier this year that I am dying to mutate.

Since the theme is Metropolis, and every big city I've ever been to, has the ubquitous yellow taxi cabs.

That's right...turning a golf cart into a taxi cab with a Burner twist...cash cab style! Prizes would be stickers and/or smooches. <wink, wink, nudge, nudge>

I'm also thinking of adding another element of interactivity of video taping the experience and posting on you tube. You know, very similar to Cash Cab...only with Burning Man related questions.

I'm excited to be here and to participate on e-playa. Giddy up, Cowboy!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome!
I think that is a great idea, I have a feeling it could end up being sort of a Taxicab confessions meets Cash Cab

I haven't seen taxicab confessions in years, is it still on?

This sounds like a great idea. It could be "swag cab" LOL!

I don't know. Probably, people are always gonna get in Taxi's and drunk, and say/do things they shouldn't.

Yeah, you're probably right. Burning Man is way to calm and collected for that sort of craziness.

While I think the mutant vehicle concept would be cool, I agree with Gyre

How about a front mounted video camera on the MV, transmitting back to the huge TV in the dome back at camp? Crash on the couch and see the whole playa?

Dumb idea.

And if it were hooked up to a DVR then it could be clipped and edited later.
Possibly even turned in to a DMV "how to(not to) drive on the playa" public service video.
