regulation???

i was wondering if i could bring a bicycle that i put a 48cc gas motor on.. ive seen them the past two years here and there but i jus wanted to have something that doesnt need to be registered, wondering if i would have to register it or clould ni just bring it in

Anything with a seat has to be registered. Those are the rules. However....... Stand Up scooters 49cc and under are not regulated but must adhere to the 5mph rule.

I did bring a mountain bike with a small gas motor on it in '01, the DMV said "No!". It was considered a motorcycle and not allowed. They didn't care if I rode the bike but they got bent about firing the motor.

its mainly for my girlfriend she has a hard time peddaling around for that long jus thot this would be a cheap and easy solution...nolw i know =.. thinkin im gunna try to get a pair of motorized scooters..is it august 30 ye?t!!!!!!

If it is her back bothering her, try a recumbent or four wheeled bike. Even an adult trike is easier. I can't sir a regular bike so we have a four wheeled bike which my hubby pedals for me.

If your GF is handicap and has a parking permit/placard she can get a permit to drive anything van sized or smaller anywhere(within reason) on the playa.

ya shes not handicap..just not the most active person year round due to a heavy work/school load. we'll figure sumthin out thanks guys
