...prostitution is quite legal in Nevada, although it would have to be a barter-for-a-blow system.

I believe this is refering to the:Camp Hedon From the Planet of Wanton

Actually, Prostitution is only legal in a few small counties, and VERY regulated. It is ILLEGAL everywhere else. As for Washoe and Pershing county where the event is, it is ILLEGAL.

Even if prostitution WAS legal in those Counties, unless you are registered, have a weekly health card, pay enormous licinse fees, have a perminant building to work out of, and a lot of other things, you would still be arrested and convicted of solicitation, prostitution, and/or Pandering, which could lead to felony charges.

As for the barter? Still concidered as goods for services and an offer of a candy bar is the same as offering cash.

So, the bottom line is that unless your a registered and licensed person with a Legal Brothel in an "approved" County, Prostitution is NOT legal in Nevada.

What about "Great Idea in the Wrong Venue"? The percentage of yahoos-who-enjoy-ruining-someone-else's-good-time are probably as high at BRC as they are anywhere else, like, say, San Francisco or Portland.

How about a small group of people getting away at a small, out-of-the-way place, like, say... the desert, and getting together to practice their art, live in the spirit of freedom and liberty, to not judge each other and not be judged, to live and let live for, say, a week or so? Could that be the place to do this?

Yeah, about ten-twelve years ago...

Sigh... :P

First come the rule makers, which create the rule breakers, which creates the need for the rule enforcers, and the next thing you know, it's like taking your vacation in Union Square at noon on a weekday... What's the point?
