New Art Car for 2010?

Post by Frank the Vintner » Thu Apr 22, 2010 9:54 am

Hello All,

An interesting opportunity has arisen. We have 1st crack at an art car base that will fill the void between the truck and smaller individual vehicles with 1-2 carrying capacity. See a picture of this model http://eastern-golfcarts.com/1998CushmanBellhop.aspx. The one for sale is in San Jose area.

It is bigger. Seating for 6-8 people.
It is gas powered. 14HP.
It is designed as a industrial people carrier. Load capacity of 1,200 lbs.
In order to get it licensed at TTID it will have to become an art car. So, this is a call out to artists, craftsmen, mechanics, and anyone else that wants to contribute their efforts.

If there are 12 or so people who would contribute $100 we can buy it. If we get more donations we could do a knock out job of “artingâ€

Don't forget to add a pickle in the mix somewhere !!!

Hey man whats with the pickles these days? Your suggestion concerning Burners in Superman costumes with "f****** pickles"in their mouth was well thought out and appropriate. This reference I will have to ponder.
Be careful. You can spend all your money in there..............................Oriental Visitor

pickles

I have to applaud your concern about enough pickles on the playa. I was the pickle lady last year...I took a case of quart-sized jars of my homemade Jalapeno Garlic Dill Pickles and chilled them overnight before gifting them in the heat of the day. One jar went on the Art Tour bus, one went to the pickle-tasting at some beer camp. It was great fun to give them out, they seemed much appreciated by those who weren't scared off my my warning that they "weren't for everyone"

How about strapping a giant fire-breathing dick to the top of it?
