If I am not mistaken, it was the interactive component that was lacking. Many of these "Theme camps" were merely camps.

We had a vitally interactive camp, in sync with the theme, and we got approved, and got early entry for construction. Play by the rules and you should get that treatment.

I believe our camp is also vitally interactive so hopefully we're placed and not forced to build during the event instead of exploring the city and sharing the fruits of our labour with the community. I'd rather spend that time helping friends wrap up there projects while citizens are geeking out in our infinity rooms. We're going to build either way and if we don't get placed this year we'll have pictures to include in our app for next year.

Mr. P - there is a cap on ticket sales, currently 50,000; that will get re-negotiated(or not) when our 'rental agreement' comes to its end...

That's pretty much the takeaway message after all the bitching about the huge, empty blocks in 2008. I'm not going to dig up the threads right now, but that was all over this board and all over tribe as well. Participants complaining, not llc members.
