technically speaking..tv is already the drug of choice for most folks
used to be that we would sit around the stove or fireplace and read or tell stories...now we have an electronic fireplace=tv that does everything for us=destroy creativity, your brain, etc..That's why real fire is making a comeback yeh real fire.....
so computers are electronic fireplaces too, except that you get to use them like talking sticks....and don't stick that anywhere

But I don't think starting an E-AA group on E-playa is going to work. Oh sure you can tell yourself you'll go right to the thread and leave right after but you and I both know you'd only develop a nasty case of socks and just multiply your problem.

Zulegoona, don't confuse Last Real Burner with Black Rock Rick. The difference between the two is vast. And LRB doesn't have a sock problem.

I wasn't confused ( this time anyway ), I was just saying if the Rebbi Dali Rick attempted a 12 step fix while on E-playa it would only lead to him and anyone else who attempted to take the cure to assume sock Identities.

After all Burning man/e-playa is the higher power ( yeah that's the ticket) and,... and being an addict is like ah,... being a righteous scholar of the higher powers traditions and meanings.

Yeah, and ah I'm sure like I could give it up at any time, ( pause to calm shaking hand ) I mean I could quit tomorrow, but like I am ah.... trying to make myself a better person,... yeah by ah, spending as much time as possible connected with the higher power...

That's my excuse till a better one comes along.

It all started last September, when I was having a difficult time decompressing. Well, I don't have much of a life outside of BM, I sort of get bored, not working and all, and get easily sucked in to the banter.

I've tried looking at other sites, BM and otherwise, but I just keep coming back to get another fix. I've tried other message boards too, but I just keep coming back to this awful drug. Hours are wasted posting stuff that IMAO might be useful...but it's all a terrible ruse! I just want a hug!

If you could suggest cool websites that I can distract myself with....?
Or maybe I should go outside and play.
