Groan, the dreaded question

I've read a good amount on this across a whole bunch of posts... so forgive the rehashing of this boring issue. Just looking for some flat input (and feel free bash)

Will I likely have trouble if I bring a few joints to BM, keep them to myself, use them only inside my tent, etc. etc. etc.? If so, then no sweat. Just curious.

Yes, this will be my first BM. Didn't see that coming eh?

Just like any other city, there are illegal drugs that a tiny group of people tend to use. There is a large amount of uniformed and undercover law enforcement people trying to find these few outlaws doing thier activities. These rebels should be overly careful not to be caught doing whatever it is that they do, so not as to ruin their week.
Keeping a very low profile and not being stupid may be the key to a happy week.

Incredibly enough, I really do see LESS drug use here than in the default world. There is so much outside stimulation, that getting messed up on drugs really does seem to blur some of the amazing things going on around you. My drug of choice for the week is a digital camera. From early morning to the time I sleep, I am high on taking cool pictures.

Back in the 70s, my brother made a smokeless joint holder from a dishsoap bottle, some pipe and a cork so he could smoke in our parents' basement and not get caught. All the smoke stayed in the bottle. I swear, he never exhaled. Just a random old memory...

God dont smoke them in your tent, your stuff will all smell like weed - inviting every cop you talk too to find reason to dig through your pockets as they frisk you "for their safety"

I don't have a clue, and he passed away in 08 so I can't ask him. But it worked.

is it time to mention I dont' know, Dave's tent, or Bob's tent, or a "neighbor's" tent who isn't around much. There's an extra tent, you use it, but if anyone asks it's Dave's tent... don't know where he is though. maybe he just has a couple of chairs in there, but nobody ever sees him, or know's when he's coming back.

I don't smoke at all, but I am curious about something: From what I've read, cannabis can perfectly well be mixed into food. If I were Dawg and creating the World, I'd put cannabis exclusively in edibles. If nothing else, that would prevent a lot of house fires. Why are edibles not popular in the world we have?

You might consider using a different playa name when you get to BRC since now everyone knows who you are here...including the narc lurkers.

Aren't an idiot. Key words. Personal use only. Don't give it or do it with anyone you don't know. Black Rock City is like any city in that regard. You don't wander around with a joint. Don't even carry them. I've heard stories about night vision, people going out deep in the playa at night and lighting up a bic and, SWOOP, there is the BLM. I saw a BLM truck parked out there one night just sittin' there. Maybe he was taking a nap.

BM volunteers lightly inspect your car at the gate but they are looking only for stowaways or dangerous items. So as far as transporting, as long as you don't get stopped on the road, you should be ok.

I think Crimson Rose is someone who made a fool of herself on eplaya and who was removed.
