Seeking a cool theme camp in SF to volunteer for

Post by silad » Tue May 18, 2010 5:06 pm

Hello All,

I am searching for a cool theme camp in SF to help with their projects, since unemployed I have plenty of free time to help out.

I already have a ticket & staying with another camp, so not looking for anything from this besides meeting some new & interesting people, and maybe learn some new skills. I'm a strong guy capable of heavy lifting & I'm good with tools.

A veteran burner I know told me to check ePlaya for such opportunities but I don't see it, is there one specific area or forum I should check?

Thanks much
-ch

Welcome. The Introduce yourself thread is a good start. Check through art and performance, get involved, and share resources. Don't cross-post the same thing, but do get into conversations and see where it leads.

I would talk to the people doing Infinitarium. It is a funded art project this year. They are location in West Oakland. They will teach you to weld and build art, BIG ART! They have a huge camp every year and it sounds like you would fit in. They are the group that built Crude Awakening in 2007'.
Those who think they can and those who think they can't are both right.

If you would like to learn anything about woodwork or painting or have skills in that department.

We're looking at creating some new artsy stage stuff.
