London calling..

Post by Titty_Von_HardOn » Thu May 27, 2010 9:47 am

Hello!

This shall be my first Burning Man!

Terribly excited; I shall be flying into San Francisco (from London) and travelling from there to Burning Man.

I wonder has anyone got on tips on how to get there?

I cannot drive; so need to either organise a lift share with someone or develop magical powers that allow me at the twitch of my nose to travel where I please.

Has anyone got any advice on doing this?

Thank you!

Post on the ride share board when it opens up for the year or maybe check out the Green Tortoise tour bus.
It's going to be alright.

Titty Von HardOn? Couldn't you come up with something a bit more original?

For some reason, I can't read your post without hearing a thick British accent in my head. I know you said you were from London, but I still can't read it without that inflection.

Welcome to eplaya, and best of luck with your plans to come to Burning Man! :D

You might have a better chance of finding a ride if you flew into Reno (and you could go with the Dragon Pilot if you flew into Seattle).

Hi there,

I'm from London too. About to embark on my first BM too. Awash with excitement.

My girlfriend and I have just sorted out our RV. I had to grow and then sell my own ovaries to raise the money but we got there in the end.

We're looking for people to share it with us as it's too big for the two of us and, let's face it, too expensive. If you or/and or anyone else out there wants to come on board that might be an idea. Those RV companies are extortionate, so it's not cheap, but hey ho. Even if you don't, we might be able to give you a lift, as I think it can safely transport 5. That applies to anyone else out there. We'll be going from San Fran too and back there afterwards.

Well, one good thing, Charlie, is that by the time the burn rolls around, that abdominal incision will be healed enough to move and laugh.

Hello, I need to organise transport, from San Franciso to Burning Man asap.

Has anyone got any tips for finding people and splitting costs?

I need to organise this asap, as the people I was going with are no longer going.

Many thanks

Titty

Hi there,

Sorry for the silence. We've been swamped with about a million other things to organise and I've lost track of it all.

Our RV is now full, but we may have a space just for travelling from San Fran to BM. It's a bit complicated because we're taking a mountain of stuff for the rest of our camp, so it's hard to know for sure that we'll have space. I'll talk it over with my girlfriend tonight and see if we can offer a space. I'll let you know asap.

Thanks

Charlie
