By that definition, I would include: Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, North Dakota, South Dakota (or pretty much any place that is not in the mountains, but even those can get monotonous after a while). A place is only boring when you let it be that way {smirk}. (Actually I enjoy the flat, there is usually lots of warning when bad things are about to happen...)

Is it a coincidence that most roads follow the flat terrain when they can??

Most Americans I have met during my 3 years of traveling-adventures from Canada down to the burn have been decent, normal people. Of course there are exceptions

Utah isn't flat. I have five thousand feet of vertical landscape out my front window. Oh yeah, there's the Salt Flats, but hey, they're the Salt FLATS. The Great Salt Lake is water, which tends to be flat. But then, I-80 is not all of Utah.

I know!! I was just trying to make a point. The southern part of Manitoba that the Canadian highway 1 is on is part of a lake bed (remind you of somewhere), its flat. But go 1 hour north of Winnipeg (or any part of highway 1) and you will be stunned by the wilderness.

Every province and state that I mentioned has lots of beautiful and interesting areas. Sometimes not obvious from the Interstate or main highway... But they exist.

I wondered who would get upset over that

I hate that people make snap decisions about somewhere based on a web page!! Drive there, visit for a whole day, get to know a local or two; heck stay a week.. Ok, my generalized rant is over {whew

Just bought 6 tickets. It's gonna be me and some friends. We're late 20's early 30's from Edmonton. We'd be interested in chatting with and meeting others down there. It's gonna be a blast. I can't wait. Anyway say hi eh. ha ha
