It works, though it does seem to evaporate the water at about 1/3 to 1/2 the rate of using the heat. So it's not like you're not going to be getting some humidity if you do that. It may even run just fine on your battery with the humidifier on with a big enough inverter. Check your machine's specs and then you'll have a better idea what size inverter.
That said, this is my first burn so understand this advice comes with the caveat that I may not know wtf I'm talking about. You may indeed be right that you need to have the heated humidifier going due to the dryness.

Oooh… interesting… I’ll have to see how that works… and cool on the disclaimer… I won’t come hunting you down with any complaints about dry cracked throats. LOL Well I might but maybe with some wine or something stronger… actually if you guys tell me what camps you’re I would like to get to meet you all. You’ve all been so wonderfully helpful!

I don't know exactly, but what a wonderful word!
Maybe bitchtits? Bitchtittin'?
I know someone who ran his machine off the battery set up, but later years chose to camp where he had access to power. I'm assuming the battery set up was not optimal.
Pretty close on the Whinetitting! LOL Thank you again AntiM for hooking up the info on the cpap in battery mode… I’ll probably test it here to see how it works.

I dunno if I can push a loaded rv - please refer to prior comments about first time RV'ing… and going in we should be loaded for bear right? 4 people; liquids & food for 4; costumes; gas; etc. You tell me. LOL

Now wouldn’t heisting gas by way of tow strap be tantamount to not having the things I need and stealing from others to accommodate those needs???? Isn’t that what half the eplaya ebitching is all about??? Wouldn’t that make me one of 'those type people'… uh uh… not doing it. Covering my own shit thank you.
Actually all kidding smartass snarky comments aside, you all have been wonderful with your information and we (me myself and I before anyone asks) totally thank you for your insight and experience. Obviously we have our own whack way, but the information I’ve gotten off eplaya and from some of you in particular has been invaluable. Especially about this gas storage thing.
Btw no one mentioned that my logic was faulty… just gave me ideas about how to minimize the amount of gas we’re taking and how to not get blown up which was my primary reason for asking… so here’s the current plan:
Probably getting gas in Fernley / Empire as our last stops – will vent – will drive at night so it’s not so hot with rags between the cans to minimize any possible metal on metal sparks – once there we will put as much in the tank as we can therefore minimizing the full cans sitting around… storing the rest vented and chained together, on top of a bermed tarp, covered by another and clearly marked so no one runs it over or into it.
Did I miss anything?
Oh and since we’re flying into vegas and shipping some stuff back, we’ll need to find a place to get rid of the cans… they’ll be new cans… anyone in that area want them after bm? If not I’ll have to find some other ‘approved’ way of disposing of them since I surely cannot ship them back to Houston.
