Looking for early arrivals pass. Will trade a hard worker

Hi,

I am looking for an early arrivals pass for my girlfriend this year. I have one through my camp but since she is not a veteran she cannot get one. I have gone early all 5 years since I co-founded my camp and worked very hard to get where we are today. She, like me, is a very hard worker and is willing to help out wherever she can.

If anyone has an extra pass in exchange for work it would be much appreciated. Cheers!

I can print you out some fake ones and sell them to you cheap. Don't tell anyone though!

Camps don't get them issued until close to the event, and quantities are limited. Your best bet is trying to get extras from BMorg when issued to the camp.

the problem is, that camps do not get a blanket allotment of passes, then figure out what to do with them. They have to justify why they need each and every one, then the BMorg usually gives fewer than asked for.

So, to have one available to give to your GF, a camp would either need to;

1) Lie originally about how many they need, so as to get an extra that is not needed, so they can give one to you (this also will result in some other camp getting one fewer)

2) Deny one of their own Early crew, making more work for themselves or just not getting as much done before opening, so that they can give you one.

If you cannot convince your own camp of how valuable she is, good luck with some other camp...

If she's getting in early then why does that make more work for the build crew? She would be part of the build crew and as such, should be building shit. That's why people get early passes.

Thanks to those who gave positive responses. As to the rest of you, I'd expect this type of behavior on the Honda street racer forums but here? That just kinda sucks.

Anyway, for those who want to know, we do get a large allotment of passes every year for our camp due in part to our size, our history, and the fact that we throw a big Sunday night party. Those passes are given to organizers like myself as well as hard working veterans. That was a rule that was created by me and as such, enforced by me. I would not even think of asking the other organizers for an exception. My only hope is that other camps need some help.

Also, I have had two different friends find early passes here in a similar manner so I'm not sure what all the hubbub is about. Maybe I'll ask again once the passes have been doled out.

When I greet during early arrival I have lots of virgins ..Most of them are born again but still.. lots of virgins.

Last year my burngin girlfriend was happy to roll into camp on Monday with a mostly built camp. To express how much she appreciated it she spent most of Monday helping us finish it. That earned her lots of camp kudos from everybody. This year she's positioned herself to (probably) get in early assuming her real-world job lets her. Let her earn her own early arrival pass.

I heard a rumor that DPW is looking for very hard workers willing to help out wherever they can. They can get early arrival weeks in advance.

I'll get you girlfriend in early no problem. I'm driving out of Los Angeles, up the 395. I take a few days to get to the playa with all the hot springs and whatnot up in the Sierras.

I'm pretty sure I can show her a great time on the way up.

oh geeze this ones way too easy !

Why the hell do you think one of us other theme camps will oust our hard workers to bring in your girlfriend instead.

Your camp setting the rules about who's who in getting a early pass, is your camps problem, or moreas your problem, as you set the standard.
Seems to me that you will be more willing to either change your rule.....or make her wait like the rest of your newbs have too.
That is your rule ? right?

We have a camp. We say in January who is available to work their mother fucking ass off for a e.pass?
We except whomever is able to come do this ...from our most veteran burner to the total newb.
We only get x amount of tickets...and sometimes even our newbs beat out our veterans.
Its a Who can do the haul/sweaty shifts of hard mother fucking work.

So you see...because you set a RULE within your camp. Thats your issues.

If you do get a E.pass for her from some overly caring soul...more props to you...but they dont come out till 5 days before we leave...and if they come at all.
After last years close call, I dont think your going to have an easy time finding one....good luck with plan B.

Mes thinkin Piney got out on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

I'm getting a little itchy for the Playa myself.. I chose to release my stress on some dick tard VW driver though. Should have seen me giving him the "tiny peeny" hand signal.. ahhhh... sweet relief!! I mean WHO passes a line of traffic on the parking curb???!?!? Dill Hole ! now I pissed again.
