Well no wonder I'm confused. To me, color is measured in Kelvin Degrees.

True, 'dat. It's *vending* that's not allowed on the Playa (exceptions being ice and coffee.) The org doesn't want souvenir stands and tee-shirt shops popping up all over the place.

A friend of mine came up with a list of 11 things you can buy at Burning Man. This includes tickets at the gate, bus tickets to Gerlach, airport fees, RV pump-outs, water deliveries, fuel at the airport (some years), and I forget what else.

Oh, and now Black Rock City has airline service (well, charter anyway). Dunno if you can buy tickets at the event.

Myth.

2007 was a full double rainbow all the way across the sky, 2010 was a half double (sounds like a drink from Starfucks). Might have been more. This year had way more dramatic clouds.

Myth: blowjobs at the trash fence at dawn. At least not where I was.

Truism?: 2008 I was working(drinking) on my piece in a corner of a Home Depot parking lot when a big rig driver waiting until closing to make a delivery came up to see wtf I was building. He told me that his boss knows the "owner of Burning Man" and has an exclusive contract to supply showers on the playa. They rig semi trailers with private stalls and run hot water all day. He loves it 'cause he gets to watch the hotties go in and out all day and gets paid overtime. I have never heard or seen of such a thing since...

Legend: Mid 90's- if you didn't pack up your camp and tent by saturday night, it was fair game to be burned by a mob.
