Burning virgin but looking forward to 2010

Post by massagenut » Mon Jun 14, 2010 3:32 pm

I've heard a lot about BM, but have never been able to attend. This year I'm gonna be there!! If anyone knows of a theme camp that would like to have an additional massage therapist, let me know. If not, is it permissible to just set up a table under an awning and offer free massage to anyone that wants one? Any suggestions welcomed.

You don't need to belong to a theme camp, perfectly acceptable to just set up by yourself. :) It mostly depends on what you think you'd like.

Go to Center Camp and see if it's OK to set up there. Last year there were several tables set up and long lines awaiting.

If anyone actually got a massage there I'd be curious to know more about what facilities they provided and what style of massage. Not sure how well massage oil will mix with playa sand. Maybe start with a cold body wash, then massage? Any ideas welcomed.

I know that when you hear "desert" you think "sand." This is a different kind of desert and it's dust, perhaps the consistency of flour or cornstarch. But caustic. It gets everywhere. Actually, oil might be cleansing, like the Romans used to do.

there are still a lot of theme camps that have room... and lots of threads in the "theme camp" area on here about them. as of last i checked the camp i'm going with has room, you think its the type of camp you might be interested in...

Thanks for the info and suggestions. I've found a home at Barbie's Deathcamp. Feel free to stop by and say hello. See you there.

Last year, I had a wonderful massage experience! I worked a shift or two with a wonderful gentleman at Center Camp Cafe and he invited me to stop by his camp sometime, as his campmate was an incredible masseuse. Later that afternoon I did indeed take a ride out to their camp on the outer road and met Chuck, who proceeded to give me the most relaxing and enjoyable massage I've had in awhile. No theme camp, just a massage table next to the camper under the shade structure. A wonderful memory! You don't have to belong to a theme camp to gift massage to people!
A plan is what you vary from.

Destiny Lounge 3D will be at Bradbury and 3:15 this year as a part of the 404: Village Not Found group of camps! Come see us!

Thanks bigblue... i considered that option as well, but the folks over at Barbie's have been really nice and helpful, so I decided to join them. I'll have a pretty informal massage area, not unlike what you describe. Got my ticket in the mail yesterday, so I'm all set.... can hardly wait.

Hey...if you're gonna be at BDC&WB you'll be right next to Gigsville...the home of a huge group from Austin called Damn Fuckin'Texans! Pay 'em a visit! You'll find them with their big facade of the Alamo and Lone Star flag.
