You can call it e-liquid or "niquid" if u prefer. Whatever one calls it, it is a blessing for us wimps who want to double up on the nicotine without the 4000+ chemicals in tobacco smoke. Vaping on planes, in restaurants, bars, in cars, etc without bugging anyone with 2nd hand smoke is also a plus. Not having to stuff scores of reeking butts in my pockets at the Burn... PRICELESS.

funny combo, e-cigs and johny-law. but according to our local smoke shop, most of our local cops have purchased these devices, turns out cops smoke too ('specialy when on fire, but then you've got to stomp on them) and enjoy circumventing regulations concerning smoking in uniform. but really, don't be scared these things are getting well known in the public.

That's really what I was hoping for. I have heard that e-cigs are increasingly used in the military (esp. submarines, for which the Navy just passed a smoking ban) and many folks on the various e-cig forums have had positive interactions with LEOs who either knew about them, or wanted to know where to get them. I'll just try to maintain a positive attitude no matter what, and carry some documentation just in case.

When you have an efag in yer pocket er something, and you are at a party camp. The bass may make the thing turn on (glow) and yer battery(ies) will drain.

That is a useful nugget...I learned the hard way and switched to manual batteries after an auto batt went off in my pocket at a Fillmore show and the atomizer scorched my leg!

I suspect playa dust would kill an auto battery pretty quick, if Opulent Temple didn't get it first...

Smoking in bars and casinos etc is legal in Nevada. So that assumption is out of the window.

I say maintain a positive attitude and most would be interested instead of suspicious.

I hear they're fragile though- so I'd just be careful with it.

Post-burn update: LEOS are hip to the electro-fag!! I vaped all week long, all over the city, with all sorts of devices (including my home made 3.7v cell phone mod, nosepicker, altoids box, and 6v "Juice Box" that looks like a detonator) and didn't get hassled a single time. One night at Root Society a pair of LEOS (one male, one female, BLM I believe) walked quickly in my direction, then kinda slowed down and altered course... the woman looked right at me and kinda nodded, like "You're good to go, but if that was a doob I would have made you my bitch."
