hello all, my introduction

Post by maryjaneinbrain » Fri Jun 18, 2010 6:02 pm

This is going to be my first Burning Man, but I have no idea how I am getting there. I'm from Miami, FL, and it's quite a ride away. I have a ticket already but I don't know anybody around that is also going..I'll find my way there and back somehow..

Damn...I bought my ticket from a guy in Miami who found out he couldn't make it. Ask around here and see what happens. Maybe I can hook you up with Curtis and he'll know people to ride with.

Hello fellow Floridian! I'm in Citrus Florida, on the oily Gulf Side. This will be my first burn as well! I can't wait! I am flying out of Tampa to Sacramento, CA to meet up with friends there. I hope you get there safely!

Tell us something about yourself, MJIB...maybe someone will offer you a ride if you're not a serial killer or something...or a hippie...

I have now ceased to think of my drive from Southern California as "long".

Thanks for the perspective! :D

yeah. I'm from TX so I think we are looking at 2 to 3 days one way. Living closer would be nice. Heck, living outside TX would be nice.

Welcome! The trek may be far but I hope to see you there!

Condemning hippies is as old as the bible....
