Temple of Atonement
Temple of Atonement
Anyone know if the Temple will be at BRC in 2010? Their website hasn't been updated since '08.

I thought that Den of Iniquity was going to bow out this year because Temple of Atonement was going - the idea being that Den of Iniquity and Temple of Atonement were supposed to be alternating years. So neither of those two camps are going to be there?
That changes things a bit for my camp. A large part of my camp's theme is BDSM and I have a 60-foot dome, and yet I was planning to NOT have a BDSM play party, specifically bacause I figured Temple of Atonement would have that base covered.

Well, here's what I know. TOA attended only in even numbered years, so their last appearance was in 2008, next one presumably this year in 2010. Hence my inquiry. I posted the question here, but also to Alexis' email link on their non-updated website. He responded tonight, saying they are not coming.
Suspended Animation will be there
Bummer to hear that Atonement and Iniquity aren't in this year.
That said, Suspended Animation will be back. We're polishing up our schedule right now, and it looks likely that we'll be hosting an open BDSM play party in our pavilion on Wednesday night.

TOA and Den of Iniquity had no formal year-alternating agreement. And TOA had no real every-other-year plan AFAIK, that's just what evolved as they stopped showing up every year.
As former head of Camp Arachnid and a member of the Den, I'm holding a rope class at my camp (http://earth.burningman.com/brc/2010/playa_event/2901/). But we will not have the space for a full scale play party. Suspended Animation sounds like they have that covered -- good for them!
