Morning everybody. I'm in SF since a week ago, thru this Friday. I was able to go to pre-compression Saturday - there were very satisfactory amounts of fire, art, music, and craziness. Mutaytor was TEARING IT UP. I plan to see Marty Thursday at an art preview. I was also able to go to Glide Memorial Church for their Sunday celebration. It's the only church where this old atheist has ever felt truly welcome and able to celebrate the spirit that unites us all.

So - happy Monday all! Don't know if I'll have much chance to stay in touch during the week (business trip) but I wanted to take the chance I've got.

That was my guess, too. Although I'm not a raptor expert. I hope that he gets proper care. I understand that it's not always easy to rehabilitate wildlife.

Hi all! Busy times at the ranch for me. 3 days until Lakes of Fire, and since it's my one and only burn for the year I am pushing hard to make it extra awesome.

Time for a beer though

I think what you have there, goathead, is an American Kestrel.

The Kestrels have the same double black stripe facial markings, one in front of eye, one behind the eye, on each side.
Peregrine Falcons eye markings extend below the eye and form a sort of helmet.

The Kestrels are more common, and the smallest of the falcon family.
Found in open country, feeds on insects, reptiles and smaller birds.

They have a distinctive row of white, circular spots on the trailing edge of their wings.

Has it called out? What kind of sounds does it make?

Working on some schwag.
Studying generators.
Contemplating a refrigerator for my trailer.
Putting aloe on my sunburn.
Cleaning guns from our camping trip to Frog Pond this past weekend.

Do you have everything about packed?

I was just sitting here thinking that I have yet to pack anything except for my tent, which is in the same bag it's always in. I'll probably pack on Wednesday night, or Thursday morning when I'm waiting for the truck to come and get the Heart of Gold. I'm sure he'll be late, even though I have no idea when he's coming.

How big of a gennie are you looking for?

I overloaded one last year and blew it.
So re-contemplating my power needs so that I can learn from being a dumbass once, not twice.

Hi Risky, Hi Sput.......Hi Marty,,,,,,Hi GH, if anyone's still here.

Risky: did your genny blow from overloading? How was it at starting your freezer? Elliot is wanting to run a freezer on a 1Kw Honda........I'm just wondering if it'll start it.

Did your genny blow beyond repair?

Have fun Sput.....sounds like a blast.

I'll have a cognac, myself........

anyone else?

I blew the ring. The labor cost would outweigh buying another.
I still have it, just not sure if I will ever find the parts to repair it.

I was searching for my freezer paperwork in hopes that I didn't have to get into the spider infested barn to read the watts off the freezer itself. I can't seem to remember what it is. It's not the only thing I run, tho, like Elliot intends. So a 1000 may work for him.

Ha! I know that feeling, Sput. Your brain is all polluted!
I have to get it out of my head in order to sleep.
And then I put pen and paper next to the bed because things will pop into my brain all night long and I will drive myself crazy knowing I will forget it by morning.
