Just watched The new Alice in Wonderland tonight. The Cheshire Cat was very cool. All in all quite an enjoyable movie.

I remember that year goathead :D!!! Except we weren't deep playa---we chilled in our shade structure (at 8:05 & "C") cause' it was bolted down with rebar and passed around a bottle of White Zinfandel wine. Helped out our neighbors whose 3-man tents and inflatable swimming pools were getting tossed like d i c e

Seriously?

It's expensive, and we don't all live in the neighborhood out west, where we can just casually mosey to the playa.

*wanders in*

hey, nice, thanks WB.......I'll have coffee.

Hey Cc!

I yeah, if Gh's vid is from 07, it was a beauty of a duster.
someone down our streets entire carport took off......We were in my camper, looking out the window, and, then, this surreal carport/UFO was 20' off the ground, coming straight at us. It hit the side of the camper, the leg just missing the window and spearing right through.......it broke the framing when it hit my truck/camper.....so, they were able to catch up to it......

that was a good year wasn't it.

had a carport take off down the block and across the street
landed perfectly over gAWD's hearse.

about 12 of us jumped it and held it down till we could walk it back.

HI WB.

yeah, thanks, the trip was great. Weather was perfect, IMHO.

wishing for mellow weather?
well........

thing is, IMHO, some of the best times are had during super bad weather. It can force folks to sit down and visit, to stay out of the weather.......
Shared suffering can create a unique bond, and, lead to great interactions.....

Have fun on your camping trip........

Kind of expect about the same as last year,
barring any steep rise in the price of fuel...

doesn't matter one way or another for me though.

I just hope you all show up.

gAWD it gets boring at times.

Hi Figjam.........yeah, I'd say it'll effect the population, just, not sure how much compared to last year.

Dobrou odpoledna Misa!!
yes, the dust is something to very very aware of, especially coming from where you do, not used to it at all.........a very good mask (s) is important, and goggles.
