Volunteering For Gulf Cleanup

Post by flatlander13 » Wed Jun 23, 2010 12:32 pm

I want to volunteer to go to the Gulf Coast area and help in the cleanup. Do any of you have contacts or know of any organizations you would recommend me contact?

I can pay my way and I have 1 to 2 weeks of vacation time to donate.

What other people think about you is none of your business.

Thank you ibdave...

I was going to come here and post a link the BWB and you beat me to it. flatlander, if you have any trouble getting hold of someone via the links, PM me and I'll find a way to get you in touch with someone who can tell you how you can help. But remember, these things are all primarily volunteer run, so be forgiving if you don't get an immediate response.

Guys………thanks for the info. From the BWB site I signed up volunteer in Louisiana. I guess all that Emergency Response Team/Hazmat training I have had over the last 18 year might be good for something after all.

If you have any more connections or suggestions; please keep them coming.
