There are some amazing high quality coconut ice-creams out there- you would never know they weren't milk if you weren't told.

When I developed my allergy I missed ice cream like crazy- sorbet just doesn't cut it all the time. "Coconut Bliss" brand was recommended to me, and it saved my sanity (esp. in the summer!)

Also, while Utah is civilized, unless you go into Salt Lake, you ain't gettin' any of that foofoo stuff... LOL. I'll have to check the local Good Earth, which is tiny and horribly overpriced.

Even in SF the Coconut Bliss isn't cheap- starts at about $5.99 a pint. I don't care- I want my ice cream!

I've told my boyfriend that I want a real New York cheesecake from New York for my birthday. There's a great cheesecake company in the Bronx (I can't remember the name, but I have a friend there who introduced me to it) and we're going to FedEx it. I don't care if I get sick for a day or two, it's sooo good. A 10" cake also weighs about 10 pounds......

I make killer cheesecake, as good as any you can buy.
