First timers from SC. Trading in the humidity!

Hello all! My friend and I will be making the journey from SC to BRC for the first time this year. Not sure if he's on here yet. T? You here?

I've wanted to go for years. I've even had tickets 3 times previously, but each time had to sell them because of lack of funds. But this year I'm finally at a point where I can swing it financially. Still don't know where we're camping. Probably alone, maybe we'll be adopted. Who knows?

I just know I am beyond thrilled to be going (even if my husband is less than thrilled that I'm going without him).

Can't wait to meet all the new people and see just how hard I can push my body for a week. I hope my pale fat ass can hack it!

Welcome!

I've found the best thing for my pale fat ass is to wear very light bathrobes or shrugs during the day, as well as sunscreen. Drink water. Wear a big floppy hat. Stay in the shade.
You'll do just fine :)

You should try to get tickets for Transformus, and meet the rest of us SE burners.

Are you flying out of Charlotte?

The former S.C. regional rep lived in Charleston.

I'm going to be out of town during Transformus :( Unavoidable, though.

We're flying right out of Charleston. Ended up being roughly the same price.

I'm really hoping to get more involved with the SE burners in the next year. I'm kind of new down here and I'm still trying to find my groove.
