Lady friend went there one September and met a LOT of burners there. Probably where she first heard of it.

Harbin? Northern city, People's Republic of China? Burners there?

Harbin, what a horrible place.

The pools are nice but the fascist fucking hippies are intolerable.

We went there 2004 for our honeymoon withthe whole wedding party. Rented the delux cabin and whatnot.

Every hour some fucking dimwit hippie came up to yell at us in a condescending whisper that we were too loud and disturbing the peace of the environment. WTF!

The drone from all the crickets, frogs and god knows what other bugs was louder than the Playa ontz fer crying out loud.

We soaked for half day then prompty canceled the rest of the stay and drove down to Half Moon Bay and built a massive bonfire on the beach.

This place is only for the die hard granola up the ass hippies.

What bashing? That is what happened.

Don't know about you but a honeymoon is a once in a lifetime type of deal for me and the Harbin hippies sure made it clear we were not welcome.

For me, the place just sucked. YMMV.

there is a difference between retreat centre & resort centre.

while hippies can be nazis, you wouldn't honeymoon at a temple, dojo or ashram, now would you?

I've found hippies to be amongst the least tolerant of anyone who doesn't think and act as they approve.

I don't like to judge but so far I can not disproove this statement.

I dunno. Does the temple, dojo or ashram let out rooms or camping spots?
