Was gifted two bikes today! Yay!
Will use one as my new Playa Bike, and I'm thinking I should regift the other.
It's a small Specialized Rock Hopper, good for an adolescent or a person under 5' tall. I haven't fully examined it, so I don't quite know what it needs.
PM me if you're close by and interested.
I also found a mini-barbie who is currently hanging out...

Yes, that's the antenna on my Eurovan.

We've spent a TON of time on Burning Man this weekend--rethinking our meal planning (not sure I trust dry ice & freezing in vacuum bags when we're driving 3 days just to get to Reno...), driving around to find a gas can and look for a trailer tongue mount for our ginormous spare tire (haven't found one yet--they all seem to be made for teeny little toy tires), coloring shrinky pins, and I sewed my first tutu to match my Superman shirt that I found at St. Vinnies & altered to fit (more or less). Tomorrow: Bikes!

[quote="Bling"] I sewed my first tutu to match my Superman shirt(more or less). You had me at this!
My item today was making fur bike handle bar covers (over the nasty hard rubber ones) on our bikes. Mine are pink, the Mr.'s are a more natural green. I'm also outfitting his bike frame with silver lame'. Mine will be all pink fur as I have a bunch of it leftover from seat covers in the van.

For cooler covers I'm using that mylar bubblewrap insulation from the hardware/home store. I hear it works great...put it on the outside and put the cooler up on a pallet to keep it off the hot playa.Bling wrote:Ooh, never thought of making handlebar covers. Good idea! I still want to sew cooler covers and sew some furnace filters inside bandanas for extra dust protection...

Wow! I totally thought that was fake. I am saddened by our world that it is not.C.f.M. wrote:I got myself a hat.
Anyhoo, I love this thread and I have to add to it. I cleaned my goggles yesterday and today we picked up some trashed fencing to recycle into our theme camp fence. Yay!
Suck it.

Actually, I'm just hoping it's not a sign. Someone threw some playa drama my way yesterday too, and I gotta say, it kinda freaked me out.FaeTora wrote:Can I help you recreate it?Clar-i-ty wrote:Good news. I am but one bike flip away from being able to buy my ticket.
Bad news. My playa book with all my lists went through the washer.
Ying, Yang, party of two!
