I would never bring good liquor in plastic except to gift to bars (and then for my favorite bars I bring some glass bottles of good vodka. Bring good vodka, get good vodka....)Token wrote:Whiskey in plastic bottles - NEVER!!!

One thing I like to do is have a bottle of good sipping whiskey in my pack. If I find myself at a camp with a bar, I am likely to walk up to the bar and offer the tender a drink of mine. It sort of turns the table on them, they aren't used to a stranger coming in and offering THEM a drink. It is a good ice breaker and generally gets a smile.

Don't drink anything suspicious in the car.... Don't smoke anything suspicious in the car... don't speed. I say all these things because the cops have binoculars, they look at the cars, and they DO pull people over if they are doing something they shouldn't do. Once you are in camp you can do all kinds of things... Drunk driving on the playa will suck if you get caught, not to mention the fact it's 10x more dangerous because you can't see anything, there's a million distractions, and you are exhausted from driving for 10 hours or more!!
It was better next year. -Burners

Not if it's in a separate and contained space away from the driver ie trunk, bed of a truck, etc..MistressSybs wrote:wouldn't that go against open container laws anyway?Bexx wrote:oh thank god! In 06 I brought home an open bottle of Kaluha in the bed of my truck. Now I'm wondering if I dare take something opened, resealed, put in a bin, bin taped shut, bin placed in van far away from my seat.junglesmacks wrote:Not if it's in a separate and contained space away from the driver ie trunk, bed of a truck, etc..MistressSybs wrote:wouldn't that go against open container laws anyway?Bexx wrote: oh thank god! Dont MOOP the Mutants
Dont MOOP the Mutants!
I think I can safely speak for all the other Mutant vehicle owners, please if you must bring your bottles, cans, whatever containers with you to ride one of the mutants, please take it back with you when you leave the vehicle. I end up with 3 full bags of items people moop us after accepting our hospitality and a free ride around the camp. And some wonder why mutant owners don’t allow them to ride onboard or deny them.
