yes..........your references to your work, and, degree are interesting........
I will hope, the mystery is revealed, at least on the playa.......now that my curiosity is roused.

but, good luck with your hopes, regardless.

I actually have a B.S. in psychology and political science. The hope would be to one day get my PhD in clinical psychology and start my own little practice and volunteer my services out to the community as well. I don't want to be rich, just happy.

My job right now is in no way connected to that.

Morning:)

Wow, I spent last hour getting the ice from my fridge, I am real ice killer :D

FT, have nice trip! Both places are nice...I had the best mexican food in San Antonio and Austin was so familiar to me, in a way reminds me Prague:)

Here's an unusual employment option, Faetora.

The server seems to be overloaded now.
Growing pains, maybe?

Stumbles in. Thanks for the coffee FT. What is your degree if you care to say.

Cutting granite sounds very daunting, YG

Better to be snuggling in the NEB.

4th day in a row of tennis, and not too sure the old legs will cooperate. We'll see. Threw a couple of pots yesterday after a long layoff, Felt good and think I'll do some more today. A burner friend was over for our BBQ last evening and the two of us started talking about the wonders of Burning Man and it got me so charged up, that I had trouble sleeping last night. Looked at photos etc.

Quick snuggle and then off to the courts.

Have a wonderful day!

FT, a group snuggle for snuggleaholics is a wonderful idea!

Maybe a theme camp called the "Snuggleaholics" Hey, Misa, you coined a new word!

That's such a tough field to work in for some people. Me for one; I have a BS in psychology and began graduate classes in Family Therapy. I immediately became depressed, just could not do it.

I have a close friend who's a LCSW..........it is a tough job, for sure.
But, for some, very rewarding, personally and economically.

but, as with all things, not for everyone.

hahaha, just imagine being a stonecutter/tombstone maker........you gotta be nuts to do that.........

Almost 4 years ago to the day the discussion was happening in the original bar. Not sure how far along it got. Fishy, Mojo, Desert Duck, TITWI, PM, anyone know?
It's going to be alright.

Fishy mentioned it here, IIRC, the other day........I think, though, she wasn't sure where it went.

maybe, she'll chime in............

or, if PM and all, get back from the playa.......

I hope they had and are having, fun...........

I love psychology. I know its an emotionally upsetting and difficult career but that's part of why I love it so. It challenges you every day in your beliefs and understanding and requires compassion and empathy and at the same time requires you to keep each patient at a specific distance. It is a science as much as an art. And its a job where I can help others.

I was the president of my GLBT organization where I counseled and helped those just coming out and I worked for a meth prevention program.

I know though that certain psychology paths are not for me. I couldn't be a social worker or a child psychologist. I am not cold enough to not want to take each of those children homeand hug and care for them like every child should be.

talk more later. back to my current job.

::hugs everyone:::

Sometimes I process and sometimes I possess. Depends on which spirits are on hand.

Thanks Misa, it's hot out today and my favorite time on the playa was making fresh margaritas in a blender attached to my car battery. People would walk by, amazed, and ask how I was using my car engine to power a blender.
It's going to be alright.

Maybe next year. It's really quite simple, just an inverter connected to the battery. I guess standing there with the hood up and running the blender is what made people wonder. Maybe they thought it was like the blender connected to the bike.

My neighbor last year had one of these. I woke up from a nap, and they said they had stopped by to offer me a blender drink. you snooze, you lose.
