Well, it's official, I have Type II diabetes, which is just fucking great.
I've had my fasting blood sugar done at the doctor's office twice now. The first time it was 199 mg/dL. Today it was 228. The doc says, given my family history of diabetes, I shouldn't be any higher than about 140.
The doc wants me to start taking glucophage, which I guess I'm going to do. He also says if I drop 30 pounds, chances are that I can stop taking the drugs. Dang, talk about giving a guy some motivation to lose weight...
Oh, and there's more good news too - I also have to reduce/limit my alcohol intake. Oh well, like I told the doc - I want to be a really healthy old guy that lives a long time. So, if this is what I have to do to get there, so be it.

fuck ROF..........that's a bummer...........but, on the good side, at least it's type II, and, can probably be controlled with diet, at a point.........
I cared for my parents, both having typII in their last years........but, they didn't take care of it........lots of issues related to not taking care........so, if you can, please do......
we want you out in the desert, for a long time.........
and, if you're going to be debilitated, make it something we can all have fun with, and draw on you.

Knew a girl that decided I was stupid because I couldn't sign.
Pretty common for people to assume you're stupid if you're from the south, don't speak english well, have poor grammar, can't spell (common along with dyslexia among some with high intelligence), or have a california accent.
If you aren't dumb, being underestimated can be a huge advantage.
Not the same thing, but I have tinnitis (fast cars and loud women), and I've had people argue that it doesn't exist, because, you know, grandpa didn't have it.

so,
I've had this lump between my neck and shoulder.
I went to have it checked today, since, I can feel something weird, when I move certain ways, and, it sends a jolt up my neck........
the doc wants to do surgery tomorrow afternoon.....says, it's probably growing "tentacles" around a nerve, or nerves.....and, needs to be cut out.........he thinks it's "ok" but, won't be able to tell until he's "in there"........
but, says he can do it, in his "surgery center" instead of the full blown hospital..........(which is good, since, my insurance is no good, super high deductable).
so, anyway..........What the Fuck? ........over...........
