What I'm saying is that THAT color, right there, ^ is Indigo

I didn't sleep last night, and will now get on my bike to get to my day's activities. Calling it preparing for Burning Man sounds better than insomnia.

Ahhhh but moose you're talking about the LIGHT spectrum and I'm talking about the pigment spectrum. They're entirely different. I am not putting light on my hair, I'm putting on a pigment which is PURPLE! ;-) Not only that, are we certain of the color correction abilities of ePlaya, as well as my camera, and our eyeballs? :-)

Indigo is:

Purple is:

Here's just one example of a pigment-based color wheel:

Pigment is the color it is because of what light it reflects. :P

I was always confused about indigo in the whole Roy G. Biv thing. It was extranous, as far as I was concerned. Unless it was stuck in there to get a second vowell..

Did I say I may have finished my panels for AntiM? I'm too lazy to scroll down and look.

Misa, to get more fullness, increase the amount of tulle in each corresponding layer. Like, make the first layer 1/2 a yard, then the next one .75 of a yard (I am not a mathmetician), etc.
Thanks for the advise C.f.M. :) I will use it for the next tu tu.
this was first try, more to discover the mistakes :D
I put the layers far from each other...I sew it more together now and seems more full and even the colors are working more :)

Packed my first food box last night. Switched to recycled (and cleaned) kitty litter buckets instead of rubbermaid tubs. I'm just packing for me this year.

Also experimented with dolly body part necklaces for gifts. I need input. Too creepy?

Maybe creepy. What can I say, I've had a morbid streak my entire life.

Although I might request a "legs only" model.

I have several pieces made from misc. body parts. My favorites are the baby doll head w/steel spikes mohawks and skulls earrings.

I'm thinking one limb, torso or head per necklace. Last night I just used crocheted pink yarn with one arm, but it looks chintzy. Thinking I'm gonna look for some silver chord or something, so when I crochet it it looks more like a chain.

C.f.M. wrote:Well, how much will you use?

A shotglass = one application/4 oz (loosely)

If you apply every hour or so....you do the math.

Statistics homework is already making my head hurt.

Better too much, than not enough.

I am big on staying in the shade - much easier at my burns - and using a parasol. Also easier around here...but I'm going to try in BRC this year.

I am a CRACKER, and although everything tastes better on a cracker, sunscreen is just greasy and icky and I don't like using it if I don't have to.

I know aerosol is bad, but I really dig the spray kind, so easy and quick to slather on everywhere.
Your shotglasses are 4 oz? I want you to be MY bartender!

Sunscreen is going to be a stupidly large expense this year, thanks to the Environmental Working Group's report nixing many of my cheaper favorites. :(

Long sleeves and hats will help, however. :)

...and that kids, is how you get a drinking problem.

Shot glass = ONE ounce. Ish.

But for some of us honkys, 4 oz. is still a good idea.

It's not a problem until you run out, or start missing your mouth. ;)

I prefer 1.5 oz for a shot glass, however.

Preferably commercial barware. Anchor Hocking makes good stuff, that's what's on my shelves.

Today, I am ordering my fire poi kit. Yay! No more borrowing!

I will also pick up some odds and ends from Home Despot, in preparation for yurt building this weekend.

Is it Saturday yet?
