@Sputnik - have you heard how the memorial burn went last night? I wish I could have gone but that was out of the question.

Cooky says it was very nicely done.

ETA: About 50 people, viking ship for a pyre, flaming arrows and a big torch to light it.
It's going to be alright.

Deb, this is what I found...

"Fernet is a type of amaro, a bitter, aromatic spirit. Fernet is made from a number of herbs and spices which vary according to the brand, but may include myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, aloe, and saffron, with a base of grape distilled spirits, and colored with caramel coloring."

"Because of its list of ingredients, a number of home remedies call for Fernet, including for the treatment of menstrual and gastrointestinal discomfort, hangovers, baby colic, and (formerly) cholera." - that is true, I was allowed by parents to drink small shot of it for my stomachache even before law allowed me to drink :D

Hi all - just checking in. Been on the road a couple weeks and now I'm home to stay until Burningman. Been eating too much good (bad) food so a regiment of booze and coffee should do me good. Definitely need to loose a few inches around the middle in the next few weeks.
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

Good morning! It's beautiful out there today. The sun is up and warming up the place. Likely to hit 90 or more. So some of that coffee now, hot and steamy, and then later I'll get some iced down.

Good luck with the sewing FaeTora

::wipes screen off::

No i meant yg can sew or craft. I am not skilled. I cant sew a straight line WITH a sewing machine. Thank goodness these clothes don't have to live longer than the visit to the playa, because i'm not sure they would with my lack of skills,

But I am a mean cook. Breakfast?

Morning everyone. Saw it was 105 in Gerlach yesterday. First day back in the dry heat and I can definitely feel the difference. Knew I was back home when I realized I had to make my own coffee and bed this morning :D

Morning, YG. What beautiful flowers. Take the day to smell them as you take the time to get the old bod back into its natural sync. The Bod wasn't built in a day and normally doesn't survive the insult of being penetrated by knives with sanguinity and aplomb. So, damnit, sit down and take it slow!

Brekie looks terriffic, FT. I bet you're better at things than you advertise!

Nice cool start to the day here with the marine layer (fog) burning off by about 9 or 10 for a very warm and sunny day here in the Bay Area.

Grabs a cuppa Joe and dives into the AC'd NEB.

Cheers
