Playa virgin finally comming home!

Post by Alexisaok » Thu Jul 15, 2010 11:28 am

I'm A~o~K! and I'm finally coming home. I've been completely obsessed since I first heard about burningman and totally psyched when my dad came back last year and told me he was taking me this year. Me and my whole family are making the trip down, My dad, my girlfriend, my sister and her boyfriend and me!

I love all forms of art, ambient and powerful dance music vibrate every particle of my soul. I love making sound art especially circuit bending. I love swinging poi and I'm really looking forward to seeing some world class fire dancing at BM this year!

Any advice or requests for/of a virgin burner?

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome Alexis!

There's lots of advise to be found on following thread, beyond the usual read the survival guide sort:

My advise - keep a journal. Im just reading CFMs from last year, and plan on doing it myself this year. There is just so much sensory overload, you won't be able to remember it all. And I say write the good and bad, what you forgot, what you brought too much of, names of your new friends and neighbors.

hey alexis!

so cool that you're going with your family! try and connect with other circuit benders or musicians and maybe you can collaborate on a project or performance. depending on how old you are i would also recommend spending a night away from your camp. the event takes on a whole different meaning when you break away from the safety of your loved ones. see you on the playa!
