counting down the days but...

Post by xhoosier » Mon Jul 19, 2010 7:59 pm

I have been counting the days since the 2009 burning man and am within weeks of the 2010 event. New tent bought, gifts made and ready to hand out, new coolers, shade, etc etc, etc. Now I am a 80% chance of going! Boss has a deadline of Sept 11 and I must meet it or else!!!.

I am so anxious and can't believe I am in this situation but what can I do but work hard and push my work mates and myslef to do all we can to get it done.

I guess i will not know until a the day I leave if I am going. What a bummer!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

I can't imagine that a boss would hold a vacation over your head. Best of luck getting things done and hopefully we will all see you in a month.

I, sadly, can imagine that. We americans get crappy vacation protection. Must be our protestant work ethic, vacations are the devil's workshop...

Your boss has a deadline for September 11th? It doesn't happen to have anything to do with airplanes and towers does it?

Most of Europe gets 5 - 6 weeks vacation.

Europe pretty much shuts down for the month of August.

Every city, town, village on the Mediterranean and Adriatic is packed and the party never stops.

Dis da wan ting aye miss abaut de old kantri.
