Camps Still Looking For Members (Mid/Late July)
Maybe this is stupid, but it seems possible that having a "clearinghouse" thread on this topic might be a good idea.
I notice that Costco Soulmate Trading Company and Pleasures of the Flesh University are still looking for people. Maybe other camps are also doing so. Maybe having them post in the same place is convenient. Maybe not.

Black Rock Center for Unlearning is taking in Applicants for the new school year ;-)
We're at 3 'n D, decent sized theme camp in our second year with a well established infrastructure, some great amenities, low dues, and fun people! Pretty laid back and always looking for people to give 'classes' as well.

Thanks for this.Surprised a thread like this never posted before but then started to think about it and it has never been needed.Seems as though 2010 will go down as the year there were more camps than campers to fill them.
Be careful. You can spend all your money in there..............................Oriental Visitor

Where can I find out more details about shacking up with yall?
We'll be a group of 4-5 guys...some virgins, some veterans, all very excited to be there.

I echo Zorro Sing's thought. Can't remember so many camps needing campmates before. We lost a fair number of mates this year to financial crunch and no time off work. Hence our last minute recruitment...
Don't Panic Camp, a friendly and creative camp where everyone knows you by name, is looking for a few more campmates. We are a smaller camp focused on having fun and pressure-free experience at the Burn. Visit our website if interested:

Club Verboten could still use two campers. At this point in time we should not be picky but we will still require an arrival at camp site (4:30 and F) by noon Saturday the 28th.Early entry passes will be furnished.Transportation to and from BRC included if you need it.
Now for the blandishments.
-This is our 11 th year.Have most difficulties of playa life softened with proper generator, shade structure, one of the best tents at BRC,good people with experience etc.We offer no kitchen.
-Great Location-Over the last several years 4:30 has developed into a vibrant and active street. Our location, halfway up,is superb. Not only are you close enough to things but just far enough away for a favorable noise factor.
-Camp tax $50.One of lowest for an established camp. For an extra $25 you get a bike purchased for you and hauled to BRC.
You can get some more info on us by looking at our previous camper wanted post. http://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic.php?t=33181
thanks for the topic fishy omar

bar camp looking for campers
unfortunately, it seems to have been one of those years for some of our regular campers. sadly we didn't find out some couldn't go until pretty late in the game. that being said....this is our 5th year as a registered theme camp and 8th year on the playa.
we are a bar camp called spank the monkey, with this year's theme being monkey d's, a drive..........er..bike..er..whatever thru bar theme camp that will be located on 4:30 and A. We have quite a bit of extra space and could use some helping hands for pre setup and post monday partying, i mean bartending
dues are pretty low (basically, helping us cover the cost of liquor) and you have the option of including camp food or bringing your own.
pm me if you are interested.

Re: Sacred Spaces Village still open
Same for our camp. I think this is the first year that we got almost all the space we asked for. Usually they cut us way back. (Not that I'm complaining.)veleda wrote: we got a really large space this year and can accommodate more peeps than last year.![]()

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

We've filled up (the response was fantastic), so I'm linking our application form to this thread.
