not sure I like the connotation there, GH..........

Tremendous breath of fresh air.

So much variety, impossible to define.
I'd love to see how they're listed.
I've heard them go from Science Fiction Double Feature to bluegrass gospel to old blues in ten minutes.

How's texas radio these days?
Crappy. I have completely stopped listening to public radio. Its all programmed now. I listen to Sirius radio while driving or cd's.
This station is actually commercial.

The best one we've had for years was unlicensed, and shut down by the fcc.
We do have a good volunteer station though.

What privacy?

Deaths are usually announced, and always public record.

There was untold death an carnage today downtown Chicago
total chaos!
you haven't heard anything about it on the news because the media
has been ordered to suppress it for reasons of national security until they find out the cause.
this is what the scene looks like now at Michigan and Wacker drive

Ever wonder if your morals are a downfall in this society. Not religious or pre-decided morals, but just general guidelines you hold yourself to.

Anyways, hope everyone had a good day.

Had a good day. Spent eight hours in class and then watched Shaun of the Dead and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Tomorrow is table tennis and beer night.

Hey, YG the stone looks great! /take it easy on your back. Don't think that feeling "tears" is a positive. Don't listen to us, call the doc and ask. Only a few more days and you'll be able to do whatever you want to do. Maybe even play tennis or the violin.

Glad to know that you will be on the playa, Sput.

Sorry to hijack the thread but....I could really use some help. My family relocated to Las Vegas and the jobs we thought we had lined up fell through. Things are dire, enough that I'm doing everything I can think of to find work. If anyone on the eplaya knows someone in Vegas that might be able to help me out...IT work, customer service, holding a sign advertising the brothels in Pahrump while walking the strip...whatever it is I just need a damn job and bad.

I'm sure a few people on here will gloat at my misfortune...yeah, I've fallen hard. And I hesitate to post this. But I have a 7 month old who smiles at me every morning when he wakes up and I will do anything in my power to make sure he has what he needs. And if that means swallowing pride and making a desperation post among a myriad of other efforts...so be it.

Best way to reach me is via private message. Thanks for considering my request. Again, if it wasn't dire I wouldn't be posting.

Morning.. Read your post Kinetic. Troubling.

I can relate: my friend (in management even) just got canned.
I asked her if she had anticipated it, and she said it took her by surprise.
Based on what she told me regarding their reasoning for the dismissal; they will likely attempt to have her unemployment benefits denied.
Started looking for work for her, and she finished her resume last night so I'll be proofreading that later.
She's confident though so she's taking it better than I am. I'm worried for her.

ignorance may deride it,
but in the end, there it is."

Good morning! Slept good last night, once I finally did get to sleep, which is weird because I was so tired in the early evening. I probably should have just gone to bed at 7 when I was really feeling it, but decided to wait a couple of hours.

Anyway, coffee is a help this morning.
It's going to be alright.

good morning everyone. Kinetic, great idea to post here. Sorry for the msifortune but I have found networking is the best way to find a job. I have placed a few friends in positions due to them putting the word out. Unfortunately I dont know anyone in Vegas but these wonderful people will have some ideas. Hang in there :) When you least expect it... life throws you a wonderful twist...
