Is a very old, somewhat fragile, made from kid or some other sort of soft leather stuffed lion wayward, or jsut trash?AntiM wrote:Thank you! As long as it is wayward, we love it!

I just did inventory of what's in the house, yikes, I am UNprepared. This is more to help me keep track, go into panic paint mode than to tell y'all what's on hand. Ready?
I have three large and five small dimensional objects finished/almost complete. Number of potential projects? Somewhere between two and a dozen.
Two paintings complete, 23 in stages on the kitchen table (they aren't big, I paint in batches).
53 blank canvas boards, 8 blank stretched canvas.
Four terrible paintings to repurpose (thrift shop pickings are slim).
Four prints to repurpose.
Four ready to go thrift shop pieces.
Bag of tins, some partially collaged.
Two or three dozen particle boards which I need to glue canvas on.
Found two of my tiny paintings which did not go out last year, and one which returned.
Already have about a dozen donations in hand.
No jewelry as yet. No lucky bags or photos.
I will have HFWA t-shirts if you catch me in camp. I'm not bartering, but I am going to be selective. HFWA shopping bags too. Maybe bandannas. Genius does the work on these.
Genius will do a limited run of woodblocks, and perhaps photos also.
Blank cards need to become donor cards, card boxes need a bit of TLC.
Need to check the art box, but I'm pretty sure it is empty except for a couple of Hedy's prints and a smashed plate.
Paint, brushes, glue, etc. in abundance.
Yep, no way I have 400+ pieces in hand. Ah, pressure. Love it.

I'm pulling a lot of posters from free boxes. Two questions:
1 Are posters okay?
2 Is stuff found in a free box okay?

I love free boxes! That is essentially what my project is at our regional, the NoCostco.
Posters... mostly yes. They're usually sturdy enough to withstand the wind, but they are the first thing to come down when the whiteouts hit. If I know the sizes, I can bring cardboard to back them while hanging. People like them, and they repurpose well if not adopted.

Bumping and a plea:
With the death of my father, and all the attendant arrangements (I am the trustee/executor) my paint frenzy has been placed on the back burner. (Hey! What's he doing there?) Therefore the wayward art will be thinner this year. So I am begging for donations.... art! Bad Art!
Even a single piece or two can make the difference in a burner's experience.
It doesn't have to be fancy or big, or even good, we love the weird stuff. Thrift shops, yard sales, your old high school portfolio, postcards, photographs, your schwag bag, your mom's basement, the dumpster .... all wayward, all welcome.
Just a note on drawings: they tend to smudge or tear, try to glue them to a mount or piece of cardboard to stiffen them up.
I thank you all in advance.

I've done really well at the sorts of places that AntiM mentions.
I'm bringing pictures from a calendar, which I wouldn't ordinarily do, but it's called "Skylines" and has pictures of citys now and in the past; it was too metropolitan to pass over.
Photographs makes me think of old "cabinet cards." If you have ancestors that you just don't want any more, donate them to someone else.
Don't pass by sculptural forms.
Don't pass by small but neat stuff. Perhaps you could regift some old, unbeloved, schwag.
Maybe you have an old tee=shirt that doesn't fit. If it's not a commercial logo, it's probably okay.
I am bringing on the order of 30-40 works at least. If competition motivates you, try and top it.
And AntiM? ((((((AntiM)))))

Looking at my personal collection last night, I found a pair of candle holders, a mexican cat, a costa rican parrot and a gold vase.
(So much better than just saying "bump>")

Today I got a wild wooden mask and a ceramic skull at a yard sale. Went through my wood and china and found all sorts of wacky stuff. China shoe. Squirrell and elephant pins. I just couldn't give up any of my sake cups.
