Last year I was towing a tent trailer from Seattle and arrived at Gerlach on Monday just before sunset. It was an additional 2 hours from Gerlach to the greeters station, so I was setting up my tent trailer at night with a headlamp and a flashlight. No big deal.
This year I am bringing a shade structure, so my driving schedule will be adjusted to allow for several hours of daylight for setting up camp. I would be reluctant to drive from Cedarville to Gerlach at night if I was tired and fatigued from a long day of driving. YMMV

UPDATE:
I just found a wonderful lady who has a 320 acre wildlife conservation ranch 12 miles from the entrance to BM. She has room for people to stay with rv's and tents as a Pre-landing and then you can go in the gates at dawn. Here is her web page. http://www.ivesonranch.com/
She charges $25 for the pre landing and the money goes to her wildlife conservation ranch to help run it. Wonderful program.

Yes, FireMoose should be nicer.
It's also been a sort of disorienting to see your latest posts, most or all of which have featured this woman and contact information. I'm sure that you don't intend to give the impression that you're shilling for her, yet it is hard to see you less involved in the day-to-day of the community than you have been.
