It would also determine where our main entrance and private tents will be. So the layout in the application is meaningless! Just a source of irritation,,,,, grumble grumble grumble
Just make two plans! Heck, I have made 20 plans for our camp, based on unclear space allocation, orientation, and exactly who is going to show up!

Placement doesn't give out exact information, because sometimes they have to change things. With the zillion camps they place they don't always get everything perfect.

Believe me, I've got plans out the ass! I just want THE PLAN,,,,, dammmit! I also appreciate all the hard work BMORG is doing,,,,, sheeeesh it is an overwhelming project! Like everyone else, we just wanna be as prepared as possible,,,, that's all.

We have a plan based on being oriented to the wind like we've been for the last 2 years prior to being a theme camp. We asked for and were placed on the same side of Black Rock City as we've been camping, so we know where the wind comes from. And we have flags that only work with the camp oriented to the wind one way.

So, I'm making a 2nd set of flags. If we are on the opposite side of the street, we flip our plan. No biggie.

Burning Man is fun because of the unexpected - just roll with it!! 8)

Some camps like to be anonymous, because they could be mobbed with people. It is still participating and contributing, but on a different level. It is my understanding the Tuna Guys are such a camp. Spent (3) years in a row looking for their obscure location... just beginning to believe them a myth only, such conquest when they were finally found! It was great fun!
