shandy, shandygaffs... mainly a ladies or a hot weather quencher, uk empire sort of origin, any beer, and "lemonaid" what Schweppes calls their lemon lime soda, same as 7up.
my projects... sort of stalled. I made a short list today of what I need to work on. trike, solar powered star for the top of my shade shelter. Having fun thinking of what to do in the garage, but don't seem to be out there much. Trying to get a good purge of unused stuff for a garage sale first weekend in August. (not sure if that's next week... need to ask my sister asap) How about you?

solar powered star? that sounds very cool ..... can't wait to see!

take all the labels off... makes dinner a game!
here's the star, a tree topper, but it runs off dc, 6 volts, or 4 batteries. gonna hack some solar garden lights, glue it to a funnel, sew some velcro, or some leather washers for bolts to the top of my shade shelter. hopefully a way to find home in the dark.

Just got home from a Full Moon party with BQ'd Oysters. Ate too many. Boy were they good, hot off the BBQ
The full moon wan't too bad either!
Those are lucious looking slurpies. Let's have a couple, LF, as a nightcap. Misa is likely off in dreamland by this time, so we can raise a glass to her, FT, YG, Sput, Deb, Gyre, GH, Elorrum and all our other Bar 2 buddies! Sorry I missed the party a bit earlier. (Used to drink Shandy in London years ago.)
A snuggle in the NEB and then some ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzs End of a perfect day.

Good evening barfolks.
Seeing all the good beer reminded to to tell a short story about flying back from visiting family last weekend. I had a two hour layover in Cincinnati, which I fear would be a long wait... that is until I discovered the small pub-type thing that was 50 feet from my gate with Stella Artois on tap.
I prefer dark beers, even black, but Stella is still good.

HEY ALL! Finally home from a good day with some burners at mission control and a good dose of gear shopping with my local playa buddies.
It was exactly what I needed. NOW I need some gin...

MMMM, Hendricks is one of my favs. Try a dry gin martini and garnish with cucumbers instead of olives...outstanding. REALLY good.

What is this? It's National Tequila Day and nobody celebrated it? I thought this was The Bar thread....sheesh, you should all be ashamed of yourselves, neglecting to pay homage to one of the best things to come out of Mexico.
But it's not to late to fix your mistake....unless you're in the Eastern Time Zone!
(By the way I'm back in Denver. On my last day in Vegas I got an email asking me to take the next step in getting hired for one job and got a call about another. The problem was everyone had already packed up to leave and they said if you want a ride, you gotta go. I feel better knowing I walked in to the 4th worst job market in America and while others never get a call I got 2 contacts. Building on that Denver looks very promising!)
Oh and I sure don't miss 114 degree heat either. It's practically chilly here after being in the blast furnace of Vegas. Chilly enough for some tequila!

I've had about all the Nevada I can handle for a bit so barring me winning Powerball or a miracle happening I won't make it to BRC this year.LeChatNoir wrote:Hey... Kinetic is wort at least two shits....but for you i"ll have a shit and then go back to my one true love.
(glad the job stuff is looking promising, KV. Will we see you in the desert this year?)
