If you figure that out, maybe you can tell me what to do with a gross of 8' rubber snakes and small slinky's? Seemed like a good idea at the time... 8)

I once used a gross of rubber snakes as fringe on the back of a jacket. Just sew the heads down to the fabric and let the bodies dangle. ;-)

Today's item, got a couple of cheap transistor radios.

Just finished reading the 2010 Survival Guide (online). Found it interesting that a bike is only considered to be stolen if the lock is cut. So bringing a good lock this year!

Stick bikini. prom dress. Use dusck tape as the foundation and form for the outfit and place the stick on to either cover the whole thing, make a pattern, or something more creative like a tree or an office building or string cheese. Maybe thats going a little far. there is no replacing cheese.

Called my doctor and dentist offices to make sure any of my way previously scheduled annual/semi-annual checkup exams don't happen to fall on the same days that I'll be off the grid in BRC. Don't want come back and end up owing them a penalty fee for not showing up.

Medusa wig or a snake tutu/skirt/loin cloth/bikini or attach them to elbow length gloves like they're crawling up your arm (that'd be pretty cool).

I have to say I have a house full of "seemed like a good idea at the time." I'm starting to think it's the worst symptom of this burner bug we've developed.
Suck it.

YEah, the thrift is better in SAcramento than it is in the inner bay area. Something about there being fewer hipsters cleaning everything good off the shelves the moment it gets in...

I'm betting thsoe rubber snakes are 8 inches, not eight feet.
But still, you could sew them to skirts or something. PLus, oodles of rubber snakes in the shade structure or kitchen of your camp will provide visual interest.

Fishy is right, they are 8", not 8'. :D I was thinking of them as fringe, maybe on a hat, or as a Medusa wig, but they're kinda heavy.

The shopping here is amazing, since no one here has heard of the sexual-deviant-hippie-dirt-festival and by "no one" I mean 99.1% of all Texans.

bought 11 psuedo barbie head dolls at a thrift shop to put on a hat. When I opened the packages all but one of the doll heads hair came off. So now I've got 10 bald ones and just 1 with hair (she will be their leader)...

Goop (or E6000 glue) would help with that, if you did want them to have hair, or didn't want the one who still does to MOOP.

Bling,
nope the hair that was on the doll heads just pretty much decomposed into little shaving sized bits. Glad it happened at home and not on the playa. But bald is cool...

I really need to try on and sort all my thrift shop/ebay treasures soon...

I have an official ride from the airport to a grocery store to BRC.

You should all hitch a ride and come get me :P

Remember you have to show up in a tutu i think Misa said. And Misa - I want Pictures if they show up that way. Though I might see you at the airport depending on when you get in.

You could do something like give them yarn hair. or cloth hair. Doesn't even have to look like hair, but it could be sort of "artistic interpretation of hair."

@CFM: I love the pic. Also...awesome that Token is grabbing you and giving you a ride!

It is amazing reading through the beginning of the string vs. now. People aren't dreaming anymore...the finish line is in SIGHT!

Today I got a heavy duty garter belt in the mail withsuspender clips to hold up EXTREAMLY heavy thigh high boots that my friend handed me because she thought I imght like them. (I love having NON burner friends who find akward things in their wardrobs or when their thrifting and automatically think of me...totally makes me happy).

In addition, I finished planning out the last little bits of my wardrobe that still need making. The last minute switch to APOK has decreased my need to look like a doctor sues character and INCREASED my need to have military/doomy gear to wear. I am having WAY too much fun. And it's all possible to the help of my dear friend Rogue who is living vicariously through me since she will not be making it out to the playa this year :(

I also aquired a riding buddy who has early entry and is leaving from LA arround the same time as me. So I guess my wee Focus will be making the treck this year.
Finally moving to SF...can't WAIT!
