Most awesome compact folding chair?

Spam away. I'm looking for a couple nice, cheap, chairs with the most compact design ever =]

Before I settle for the ~$10 regular folding camping chairs, figured I'd check if someone has found the ultimate portable BM chairs.

Walmart has some folding canvas chairs with footrests and all for around $10. Awesome to me is an equilibrium of cheap and comfy.. lol

don't know where to get them, but when I was at the beach a couple weeks ago, a group had some beach chairs that folded up into back backs...I'll see if I can google that for myself.

evil Wal Mart used to carry those folding camp chairs that were mesh on the back & bottom. very nice for the playa heat. no sweaty back or butt!

I think you guys aren't taking the "awesome" seriously enough. We want something at the level of cool that "lawnchair-ballon man" would have endorsed.

They sell a similar chair at big 5 for about $50. I got one for a birthday gift and it will be coming to the playa with me this year.

You do sit on the ground, but the back supports you, and if you stretch out your legs, you can lean back and rock. In the larger sizes of the photos, you can see the playa dust on them. We've used them at several burns and temple burns.

That's why I line the chair with the rough side of the velcro. If it was a hard plastic chair, spraying it with pepper spray is the best solution.

I have one of these and use it all the time. $30 Bucks but probably can find it for less at Walgreens or something.

i brought one of these in 07 and now it will always come with me to the burn. soooo comfortable! great place to catch a nap during the day

I have one like that. Comfy, yes. Playa dust got in the joints where they slide and glide. It is now cranky and doesn't like to float backwards gently, you have to fight it. It stays home now.

I don't like the chairs with foot rests, they trip me. I don't like the ones with canopies, they flip and flap in the breeze and are only good at high noon. I don't like the tripod-ish ones, they let you fall over backwards. I like the deep, plush Coleman or Craftsman heavy duty chairs. Sturdier than a cheap folding camp chair; we've lost our fair share of those, they just give up under real people weight and use.

Phil's folding floor chair is very much like what I used in my living room in Japan, just less padded and upholstered.

We had a very drunk visitor. His playa name is now Skidmark, and we threw the chair away. Yes, I have chair covers when I remember them.

It is bad ass albeit a little pricey.

Folds up to the size of a briefcase.
