Longboards on the Playa?

This year would be my first burn so I have little to no idea about the terrain...Is it worth a try? Anyone have experience? Seems like it would be fun!

My partner and I are hitch hiking to burning man all the way from Vancouver and our longboards help us stay a little more mobile and pack lighter...

Also! if you know anyone in the SF bay area who has room to transport two young kids (BUT LEGAL) please give me a shout!

not unless you have all-terrain wheels.... really....

The length may provide enough shock....and I know long boards have larger wheels, but your bearings will be toast. Unless you could modify it with pneumatic tires...I wouldn't try it.

I've seen a few guys with the motorized ones. They seem to get around fine.
